How to Trust Life and Surrender

Video Length: 2.75 Minutes

Hello Newsletter Family!

In this week’s video, I talk about trusting life. When it comes to trusting life, it all begins with the self. The most important thing we can do when it comes to trusting life is to first of all trust ourselves.

Our external world is a reflection of our internal world.

What does it mean to trust our self? It means that every time you set out to do something, make sure you do it. Every time you commit to doing something for your day, week or month, make sure you follow through.

If you don’t follow through, you end up losing a bit of trust with yourself in the subconscious part of your mind.

Imagine you have a relationship with someone and they say they’re going to do something and they don’t. They lazy out or cancel on you last minute; and they do this repeatedly. How would that make you feel after a while? It would make you feel like you can’t really trust their word.

The same is true for our self. We need to build a relationship with our own self before we can extend that relationship to life.

Let’s say you want to dedicate yourself to exercising 30 minutes per day. But life happens… And you really feel you don’t have the time to exercise for 30 minutes on a particular day. Then do it for 10 minutes.

At least you’ll know you kept your commitment instead of completely canceling on yourself.

The relationship we build with our self is one of the most important relationships we will have in our lifetime. It will become the cornerstone for all of our other relationships.

When we stick to our word, and we’re able to trust our self, then we’re much more easily able to extend that into life as well.

First we need to trust our self. Then we can trust life. Then we can surrender into life. Everything is stepping stone for the next step.

How can you love someone if you can’t really love yourself? How can you trust life if you can’t really trust yourself?

It’s important to repeat: The relationship we build internally will be reflected externally.
