The Most Important Step Out of Karmic Law

Dear Newsletter Family,
The most important step out of karmic law is forgiveness.
How powerful is the message of this meme by Eckhart Tolle?!
Eckhart Tolle has been a student of the metaphysical text A Course in Miracles {ACIM}. How do I know this? Because I have read him reference ACIM in his book, The Power of Now. I have also heard him reference ACIM in many of his lectures.
And perhaps one has to be a student of A Course in Miracles to truly understand the many layers and dimensions of forgiveness.
I know most people think forgiveness is the act of letting someone know you’ll leave what they did behind you. And in some cases, I’ve seen people take a stance of superiority, a feeling of ‘better than’ the person they are forgiving.
This is far from the truth of forgiveness.
Yes, forgiveness is about releasing the words and actions of a person who caused us pain. But we can’t just brush the incident aside and try to start anew. If this is what we do, the pain of the incident will definitely come back to haunt us in one form or another.
Forgiveness has layers to it. And it takes time. It is not something that happens overnight.
And with true forgiveness, we do not feel an air of superiority over any other person. In fact, we move into deep understanding and even compassion for the other person.
A huge reason why people do not forgive is because they feel by forgiving the other person, it will invalidate their pain. Or if they need to forgive themselves, they have a hard time doing it. They feel they deserve the punishment for their actions.
But forgiveness is so much more than this!!
With true forgiveness, we heal and release, so we can move deeper into connecting with the energy of the internal world. Call this energy whatever you want. Some people call it Spirit, some call it the Higher Self, some call it the Divine. The labels are merely just labels… For this profound and powerful, formless energy.
If you are a meditator or on the path of spirituality, then consciously or not, you are making an attempt to understand and connect with this formless energy.
And let me tell you, if you do not understand the depth and layers to forgiveness, you are holding yourself back from this connection.
Just like Eckhart Tolle so powerfully claims, “The most important step out of karmic law is forgiveness.”
The path to enlightenment is not a learning process. It is an unlearning of what we have been conditioned to believe, either by the false perceptions of our mind, or by society as a whole. Whatever gets in the way of our peace gets in the way of our enlightenment.
And the way to reverse the habits of the mind, of the past, of family and society is through forgiveness.
Forgiveness becomes an integral tool for reversing all that does not serve us.
Forgiveness becomes an integral tool for aligning us to the Spirit, Higher Self, Divine within.
We release and heal from the past so we can move deeper into that beautiful world of vast Oneness and peace, within.
And here is a huge reason for releasing and healing the past:
So we don’t attract the same level of pain again.
Because the universe functions on frequencies. It responds to emotions. And if we have not released and healed from an incident that caused us disruption and chaos, we are bound to attract those vibrations of disruption and chaos into our life again.
The vibrations will be the same. But the form may be different.
So if you are carrying pain from a co-worker that you haven’t forgiven, you will attract the vibrations of that pain in another aspect of your life, such as a good friend. Its times like these when we feel life does not give us a break.
Well life is only responding to us.
The way out?
